Wow.
If there was some place in the world that I would consider color heaven, Harbour Island in the Bahamas would be it. Big blue skies, pink beaches, and buildings painted every possible color Sherman Williams can offer. Add in two really beautiful people, Jenny and Mark, you have a perfect wedding.
I literally just got back a few hours ago, but I can’t wait to share these with them. I’m sure they are still relaxing in the sand enjoying their first few hours of marriage.
I was hooked up with Jenny and Mark by Jenny’s sister, Elissa, a fabulous photo editor up in New York who I owe a few rounds of Goombay Smashes to (if you don’t know, you will when you travel down to the Bahamas). The wedding was held at really sweet hot pink (yes, hot pink) St. John’s Anglican Church, which was built in 1768. The reception and after party was amazingly decorated and hosted by Ben and Charlotte with Little Island Design over at the stunning Ocean View Club.
Jenny and Mark brought a glamourous vision to a Bahamas destination wedding, but they sure know how to party. It was quite a marathon of Goombay Smashes, dancing, and meeting their various crews of wonderful friends they brought along to share the weekend with them. I brought my friend and frequent second shooter, Brian Blanco, along for the festivities, and both families and friends treated us as one of their own.
That is one thing Eleven Weddings prides itself on – being able to just hang and have fun, hopefully making pictures along the way our clients can salivate over for years.
Thanks Jenny and Mark for having us along.
Cheers!
